In early January, Shana Cleveland (of La Luz) announced a new album Manzanita, meaning little apple, which is set to arrive on 10th March 2023. The last taste of the record was the 60s-leaning track 'A Ghost'. Today, Shana released the third single from Manzanita, 'Walking Through Morning Dew'. Keeping the folky tone of previous singles, the song uses organ and guitar. Violins and lower bowed strings sway like branches of a willow tree, meanwhile Shana Cleveland plucks her guitar with pace and the hammer-ed on notes merge with the galloping beat. There's a distorted buzzing sonic layer that adds a psychedelic, dream-like element to the song, along with dub-like sirens. The chorus sees Shana's vocal melody turn lighter as she sings 'walking through morning dew', sewn together with wonderfully tranquil slide guitar.
